Job summary

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in genitourinary and gastrointestinal imaging to join the Radiology Department at Royal Bolton Hospital. The role includes general radiology plus subspecialty responsibilities aligned with the service needs.

The successful candidate will participate in a 7-day service with SPA time and an on-call rota, while contributing to high-quality imaging and patient care within a large district general hospital setting.

Qualifications

• FRCR or equivalent and GMC registration in good standing.
• Registered with the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at interview.
• NHS experience as a consultant radiologist preferred.
• Strong interest in genitourinary and gastrointestinal imaging and general radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology reporting including plain film, ultrasound, MRI and CT.
• Provide subspecialty input with emphasis on Genitourinary and GI imaging.
• Dovetail duties with the 7-day service, SPA time, and on-call rota.
• Develop and implement the departmental job plan in collaboration with leadership.
