Job summary

The Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust invites applications for a Consultant Psychiatrists to join Brookfield Centre, a locked rehabilitation unit for people with Learning Disability with or without Autism. The post is full time (40 hours) across Brookfield Centre and Sutton End community placement.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, provide care for inpatients and community patients, participate in CPA reviews, discharge planning and liaison with agencies, and maintain GMC

Qualifications

• MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise.
• Specialist register may be required or achievable within 6 months.
• Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Be Responsible Clinician for Brookfield Centre patients and provide psychiatric care during admission.
• Participate in clinical team meetings and 6-month CPA reviews.
• Oversee care for Sutton End patients and coordinate joint initiatives with providers.
• Appraise and supervise Resident doctors and manage administrative duties.
• Engage in annual job plan reviews and participate in CPD activities.
