Job summary

Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join Brookfield Centre, a locked rehab unit for learning disability with Autism. The post includes 32 hours at Brookfield and 8 hours per week at Sutton End in Maidstone, with duties as a Responsible Clinician and active involvement in CPA reviews.

The role requires leadership within a multidisciplinary team and ongoing liaison with agencies.

Qualifications

• MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
• GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team on Brookfield Centre and provide care for inpatients (up to 13).
• Oversee care for 5 patients at Sutton End community placement.
• Client management, CPD and annual job plan reviews.
