Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join Brookfield Centre, a locked rehabilitation unit for people with Learning Disability. This full‑time post is based in Dartford (DA2 6PB) with 32 hours at Brookfield and 8 hours at Sutton End, Maidstone.

The appointee will lead a multidisciplinary team, provide care for 13 inpatients and oversee 5 community patients as Responsible Clinician, and contribute to assessments, admissions planning and discharge

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team on Brookfield Centre and oversee the care of inpatients.
• Act as Responsible Clinician for Brookfield Centre and oversee discharge planning.
• Coordinate assessments, pre-admission planning and liaison with agencies (MoJ, police, probation, social care and mental health services).
