Job summary

The Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust invites applications for a Consultant Psychiatrist within the East Suffolk CAMHS service. The post focuses on assessing new referrals and managing a caseload of young people with complex mental health needs, including medication oversight.

The role is 1.5 WTE and supports an under-18 crisis service development. Approved Clinician status and Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act are required, with duties across multiple Trust sites and

Qualifications

• GMC Registration required or eligible for registration in the UK.
• Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST.
• Approved Clinician Status.
• Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act.

Responsibilities

• Assess new referrals and provide formulation.
• Maintain a caseload of 0–18 year olds with complex presentations.
• Oversee medication and treatment plans.
• Deliver clinical care across Trust sites, primary care, hospitals, and community settings.
• Work to NICE and QNCC standards.
