The Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist to work with CAMHS crisis and liaison across Frimley and Redhill. You will provide diagnostic assessments and treatments for under-18s in crisis, offer senior clinical input, and lead multi-disciplinary care with social services and education.

Teaching and service development are part of the role. Entry to the GMC Specialist Register and Section 12 approval are required or achievable within 6–12 months.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification and full GMC registration or eligible.
• Section 12 approval or eligible within 6–12 months.
• Experience with wide clinical severity in community and acute settings.

Responsabilités

• Provide diagnostic assessment and treatment for children and adolescents in mental health crisis.
• Hold clinical responsibility for own caseload and MDT leadership.
• Offer psychiatric input across EDs, community, and 24/7 crisis line.
• Collaborate with social care, paediatrics, and education for safe care.
• Lead teaching, training and quality improvement initiatives.
• Travel between multiple sites and participate in on-call duties.
