Qualifications

  • Full GMC Registration
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT within 6 months of interview)
  • European Community Rights
  • Higher trauma and orthopaedics surgical qualification

Desirable

  • Participation in research (publications, etc.)
  • Innovative healthcare approaches

Knowledge

  • Expert clinical opinion on elective and emergency problems
  • Independent responsibility for patient care

Desirable

  • ATLS instructor
  • Experience at MTC

Management/Audit Experience

  • Higher Specialist Training in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Audit experience
  • Ability to manage outpatient priorities, surgical waiting lists, and operating schedules
  • Supervision and teaching experience
