Job summary

Head Medical is seeking a Consultant in Orthopaedic Surgery specializing in Lower Limb Orthopaedics to join a leading private hospital in the UK. Based in Plymouth, Devon, you'll provide an onsite orthopaedic surgical service to meet patient needs in a day surgery unit and outpatient department.

The role involves performing orthopaedic procedures and clinics, including joint surgery (primary knee arthroplasty, primary hip cemented & hybrid, primary hip uncemented) and minor procedures such as

Qualifications

• Entry on GMC Specialist Register within T&O.
• UK registerable Medical Degree.
• FRCS or MRCS qualification.
• Extensive training and experience in Lower Limb Orthopaedics.
• Experience in high-volume joint surgeries.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Perform orthopaedic surgical procedures and clinics.
• Conduct joint surgeries: knee arthroplasty, hip cemented & hybrid, uncemented.
• Minor orthopaedic procedures: arthroscopy, injections, forefoot work.
• Manage a 40-hour week with a Monday-Saturday rota.
