Job summary

Practice Plus Group is expanding its Orthopaedic Hand Surgery service at Barlborough. As a Consultant Hand Surgeon you will join a dedicated team delivering high-quality day case and inpatient care, contributing to excellent patient outcomes.

You will provide specialist diagnosis and treatment for hand conditions, perform procedures in accordance with hospital protocols, and support both NHS and private patients while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• UK GMC Specialist Register requirement.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard diagnosis, treatment and care for hand surgical conditions as per case mix.
• Perform orthopaedic hand surgery procedures in line with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient care.

We are looking to further develop our Orthopaedic Hand Surgery service at Practice Plus Group Hospital Barlborough. As a Consultant Hand Surgeon, you will play a key role within our team, bringing your specialist expertise and experience to our elective surgical hospital.

What you’ll be doing

You will be required to provide a high standard of specialist diagnosis, treatment and care to patients with hand surgical conditions as required by the case mix agreed with the commissioning ICB. You will also provide advice and assessment of patients as requested by the nursing staff during routine working hours.

As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard whether NHS or privately funded. You will be performing orthopaedic surgical procedures on patients referred to the hospital, working in accordance with hospital protocols and working practices.
