• UK GMC Specialist Register listing required; ongoing CPD support.
• Experience in orthopaedic hand surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of specialist diagnosis, treatment and care for hand surgical conditions.
• Offer advice and assessment of patients as requested by nursing staff.
• Perform orthopaedic hand procedures in NHS or private settings.
• Work within hospital protocols and practices to ensure patient safety.

We are looking to expand our Orthopaedic Hand Surgery service. As a Consultant Hand Surgeon you will be a highly valued member of our team bringing your expertise and skills to our elective surgical unit.

What you'll be doing

You will be required to provide a high standard of specialist diagnosis, treatment and care to patients with hand surgical conditions as required by the case mix agreed for Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham with the commissioning ICB. You will also provide advice and assessment of patients as requested by the nursing staff during routine working hours.

As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard whether NHS or privately funded. You will be performing orthopaedic surgical procedures on patients referred to the hospital, working in accordance with hospital protocols and working practices.
