Job summary

Location: Inverness Contract Type: Locum Salary: £90 - £110 + negotiable Job Type: Full time Shifts: 08:30 - 17:00 / 08:00 - 20:00 Job Summary We're recruiting an experienced Ophthalmology Consultant to join a high‑quality eye service, delivering safe, patient‑centred care across outpatient clinics, diagnostics and surgical pathways.

This role suits a locum consultant with at least six months recent NHS experience who can adapt quickly to NHS systems, pathways and multidisciplinary working.

You'll contribute to comprehensive ophthalmology services, including cataract care and general ophthalmology, with the opportunity to provide subspecialty input depending on service needs.

About You You're a clinically confident Ophthalmology Consultant with strong surgical skills and up‑to‑date knowledge across general ophthalmology and cataract surgery.

You value teamwork, communicate clearly and take pride in delivering a positive patient experience.
