Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a Consultant Ophthalmologist with extensive experience in Corneal/External Disease management for opportunities across NHS and private settings in London. You will work within multidisciplinary teams, provide high standards of cataract and general ophthalmology care, and contribute to service development.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Minimum six months recent NHS experience.
• Strong cataract surgery experience and broad general ophthalmology competence.
• Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
• Clear and confident communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, patient-centred approach.
• Subspecialty interest such as oculoplastic, cornea, glaucoma or medical retina.
• Experience contributing to ophthalmology service development.
• Teaching or supervisory experience.
• Involvement in audit, quality improvement or research activity.
