NHS Jobs in Warwick is seeking a Consultant Ophthalmologist (locum) to support the General and Cataracts service. You will work to deliver a consultant-led service, aiming to meet performance indicators and provide high-quality eye care.

In this role you will supervise junior medical staff, engage in audit, research and teaching, and contribute to service development and governance. Flexible cover and CPD targets are key parts of the role.

Responsabilités

• Support the department in meeting key performance indicators.
• Deliver standards of care and a consultant-led service.
• Assist activity target delivery with Integrated Care Boards.
• Provide supervision, direction and training for junior staff.
• Participate in audit, research, teaching and governance.
• Contribute to cost-efficiency plans for the department.
• Support risk management procedures.
• Ensure CPD targets are achieved.

Consultant Ophthalmologist (locum) General and Cataracts

Support the department in meeting the challenging key performance indicators. Deliver agreed standards of care and work to deliver a consultant and specialist delivered service. Support delivery of activity targets in partnership with Integrated Care Boards and support service developments, where possible. Allow flexibility through effective prospective cover. Provide professional supervision, direction and training for junior medical staff/ the wider supporting team. Take an active role in audit, research, teaching and governance. Participate in plans to lead to cost efficiencies across the Department. Contribute to risk management procedures. Ensure continuing professional development targets are achieved.
