Responsibilities

• Offer expert clinical opinions on a range of ophthalmic problems, both emergency and elective.
• Independently run operating lists and teach cataract surgery.
• Take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients.
• Prioritise clinical needs and supervise multi-disciplinary teams.
• Lead clinical teams and work according to NHS guidelines and decisions.
