Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Consultant Ophthalmologist with specialist interest in glaucoma. The post covers Glaucoma, Cataract and Medical Retina across four sites including Queen Elizabeth, Good Hope and Solihull.

The successful candidate will manage a wide spectrum of glaucoma cases, perform routine cataract surgery and glaucoma laser/treatment procedures, and work flexibly with clinical sessions.

Qualifications

• Entry on GMC Specialist Register or eligible for entry at interview
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) including CME

Responsibilities

• Provide glaucoma services including SLT and YAG laser and MIGS
• Manage acute and complex glaucoma cases and routine cataract surgery
• Support ophthalmology across four sites and liaise with Clinical Service Lead
