South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an ophthalmology post to deliver outpatient specialist General and cataract services, including day-case cataract surgery, working with the existing team to maintain efficient patient care.

The post holder will supervise junior medical staff, participate in audits, governance and training, and contribute to cost‑efficiency plans while meeting CPD targets. The trust highlights outstanding CQC ratings and progressive service development.

Qualificações

• Registered with General Medical Council.
• Clinical experience - 6/12 months UK experience.
• Desirable: Experience in annual job planning and medical appraisals.
• Desirable: Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsabilidades

• Support the department in meeting the challenging key performance indicators.
• Deliver agreed standards of care and work to deliver a consultant and specialist delivered service.
• Support delivery of activity targets in partnership with Integrated Care Boards and support service developments, where possible.
• Allow flexibility through effective prospective cover.
• Provide professional supervision, direction and training for junior medical staff/ the wider supporting team.
• Take an active role in audit, research, teaching and governance.
• Participate in plans to lead to cost efficiencies across the Department.
• Contribute to risk management procedures.
• Ensure continuing professional development targets are achieved.
