  1. Assessing and triaging acute medical patients referred from ED or primary care.
  2. Developing investigation and management plans within standards set by the Society of Acute Medicine.
  3. Participating in the on-call rota (1 in 12, with every 6th weekend).
  4. Developing alternatives to inpatient admission with rapid diagnostic access.
  5. Collaborating with Emergency Department and ICU, aligned with Royal College guidelines.
  6. Supervising junior medical and Advanced Practitioner staff.
  7. Teaching undergraduate students clinically.
  8. Monitoring and ensuring effective clinical practice and care standards.
  9. Participating in audit and quality improvement initiatives.
  10. Managing patient care and clinical organization in AMU or HDU.
  11. Reporting critical incidents promptly.
  12. Completing mandatory training as required.
