The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a consultant histopathologist to join the Salford Royal and Royal Oldham sites within a 24-strong team. You will report on histopathology and cytopathology for multidisciplinary teams, with a GI pathology special interest, and may have duties including post mortem work and teaching.

Applicants should hold FRCPath and a UK GMC registration with CCT or equivalent, and be prepared for flexible job planning.

Qualificações

• FRCPath or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate of Completion of Training in Histopathology, or equivalent training/experience.
• CCT, or within six months of award by interview (UK trained).
• Evidence of equivalence to UK CCT (non-UK trained).

Responsabilidades

• Provide histopathology and cytopathology reporting for multidisciplinary cancer teams.
• Carry out diagnostic work for the cancer teams including a range of organ systems.
• Special interest in gastrointestinal pathology reporting.
• Teach medical students and train medical staff.
• Participate in local and national clinical trials.
