Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Consultant in Haematology (8PA) based at Addenbrooke's Hospital. The appointee will lead the General Haematology Laboratory, support Haemoglobinopathy services and participate in on-call rotas and education across a multidisciplinary team.

They should be GMC-registered, with a CCT in Haematology or within six months of award, and be willing to engage in governance and service improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Fully GMC-registered to practise in the UK.
• CCT in Haematology or within six months of award.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rota and teaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead the General Haematology service and supervise the Haematology Laboratory.
• Deputy lead for adult Haemoglobinopathy services and sickle-cell pathways.
• Support immune haematology, thrombosis/hemostasis clinics and GP liaison.
• Participate in blood-film reporting, teaching and governance activities.
• Cover general medical haematology rotas and on-call duties, including Royal Papworth Hospital.
