University Hospitals Birmingham Foundation Trust (UHB) is recruiting 3 Haematology Consultants to join their dynamic team. The successful post holder will join an innovative team of Consultant Haematologists, each responsible for different specialties within Haematology, as detailed in the job plans below. UHB is one of the largest trusts in the UK.
The successful candidate can expect to work within an innovative and supportive team comprising Consultant Haematologists, SpRs, Physician Associates, Specialty Doctors, Resident Doctors, CNS, Nurses, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and Pharmacists, all supported by dedicated administrative teams.
UHB's Haematology Service provides tertiary specialised services, including a regional Comprehensive Haemophilia Centre with gene therapy, TTP, a specialist integrated haematological malignancy diagnostic service (siHMDS), Level 3 & 4 stem cell transplantation, CAR-T cell therapy, teenage and young adult (TYA) cancer care, apheresis/plasma exchange, and a nationally recognised active academic programme. Inpatient care is based at the QEHB site, which has over 60 inpatient beds, along with a dedicated Young Persons Unit for TYA care.
