Job summary

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Cellular Pathologist to join our UKAS-accredited Cellular Pathology service at Queen's Hospital, Romford. The role focuses on GI and Gynaecological pathology, non-gyn cytology, and cervical screening; you will support MDTs, clinical decision-making, and service development.

The post offers flexible and remote working opportunities, with no out-of-hours commitment and no autopsy requirement,

Qualifications

• Must hold GMC Specialist Registration (or within six months of CCT/CESR equivalence).
• MBBS or MBBCh and FRCPath or equivalents.
• Evidence of working at consultant level in GI and Gynaecological pathology reporting.

Responsibilities

• Report on specimens in GI and Gynaecological pathology.
• Participate in MDTs and clinico-pathologic meetings.
• Contribute to service development, governance, quality assurance and teaching.
