Qualifications

• FRCS in General Surgery (or equivalent) is required.
• Postgraduate higher degree (MD, MSc, PhD or equivalent) is desirable.
• Full GMC registration is required to practice in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and elective general surgical care.
• Participate in outpatient clinics, theatre lists and ward rounds.
• Contribute to ambulatory emergency surgery pathways and SEAU initiatives.
• Lead in clinical governance, audit, and service development initiatives.
• Provide supervision and training for Foundation, Core, and Higher Surgical Trainees.
