Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Consultant Ecologist to join our expanding environmental consultancy in Gloucester. This permanent role offers the chance to work on development, infrastructure and conservation projects with hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

You will need a degree in Ecology or related discipline, experience in ecological consultancy, a good understanding of planning policy and legislation, strong report-writing skills, and a full UK driving licence.

• Previous experience within ecological consultancy.
• Good understanding of relevant ecological legislation and planning policy.
• Strong written communication and technical report-writing skills.

Requirements

• A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
• Previous experience within ecological consultancy
• A good understanding of relevant ecological legislation and planning policy
• Strong written communication and technical report-writing skills
• Good IT skills, with GIS experience advantageous
• A full UK driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK
• Ability to commute to the Gloucester office
• CIEEM membership, or a willingness to work towards professional membership
