Summary

A leading UK environmental group providing consultancy, services, and solutions to help take care of the Earth is looking for Consultant Ecologists to join in delivering a wide range of multidisciplinary projects. You will work closely with and provide value to our long-term, highly respected clients.

This role is ideal for someone currently working as an Ecologist or Assistant Ecologist who is ready to advance their career and take on greater responsibilities. Whether you want to develop your knowledge or share your experience, you will do so with an award-winning environmental consultancy known for excellent work.

Skills / Experience

You will utilize your technical experience in survey design and delivery, protected species mitigation, and licensing to manage development projects and survey phases. You will assist Project Managers and work under the guidance of Senior and Principal Ecologists on complex sites.

All our Consultants, from Graduates to Directors, embody the reputation and expertise of Ecus daily. This includes participating in key client meetings and daily interactions, so we seek someone who keeps the customer at the forefront of their work.

In addition, we look for all our Consultant Ecologists to have:

• Proficiency in mitigation knowledge for at least one protected species
• Confidence in conducting site surveys for various species and habitats
• Survey licenses for at least one protected species (e.g., GCN, Bats, Dormice, Barn owl)
• Experience in sharing knowledge through training, community education, or other methods
