Sussex Community Dermatology Service (SCDS) and Kent Integrated Dermatology Services (KIDS) aim to triage dermatoses effectively into clinics, enabling a see-and-treat approach during the initial appointment and reducing the need for multiple follow-ups. The services work alongside an experienced nurse prescribing team, qualified to manage patients on systemic and biologic therapies. Clinical offerings include day surgery, minor operations, dermoscopy, patch testing, photodynamic therapy, and phototherapy. Our focus remains on meeting patients' needs and preferences, with their wellbeing at the core of decision-making.
We collaborate with NHS trusts and integrated care boards to deliver over 100,000 new patient consultations annually, including cancer pathways, biologics, and subspecialties. We are a GMC-recognized designated body for revalidation and provide annual appraisals for our consultants.
