Sussex Community Dermatology Services (SCDS) is one of the largest independent providers of NHS dermatology services in the UK. We are seeking ambitious Consultant Dermatologists to work with us in the South-East of England. You will join a team of 23 consultants providing expert care in diagnosing and managing dermatological conditions, including inflammatory skin diseases, skin cancer, and complex cases.

We are passionate about delivering the best service while working as part of a close-knit team to address NHS waiting lists. This is an exciting opportunity to be rewarded on a pay-per-patient model for your work.

Main duties of the job

• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality outpatient care for referred patients
• Assess and manage a broad spectrum of dermatological conditions, including skin cancer and inflammatory diseases
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and support junior clinicians

About us

Sussex Community Dermatology Service (SCDS) and Kent Integrated Dermatology Services (KIDS) aim to triage various dermatoses into clinics for a see-and-treat approach during the initial appointment, reducing follow-up visits. The services work alongside an experienced nurse prescribing team, qualified to manage patients on systemic and biologic therapies. Clinical offerings include day surgery, minor operations, dermoscopy, patch testing, photodynamic therapy, and phototherapy. Our focus remains on meeting patients' needs and preferences, prioritizing their wellbeing in all decisions.

We collaborate with NHS trusts and integrated care boards to deliver over 100,000 new patient consultations annually, including full cancer pathways, biologics, and subspecialties. We are a GMC-recognized designated body for revalidation and provide annual appraisals for our consultants.
