Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Consultant in Clinical Oncology. The post focuses on Head and Neck and Thyroid malignancies, based in the Southampton Clinical Oncology Team, with a substantive post across the region.

You will join a team of 24 Consultants and participate in radiotherapy and SA CT management, on-call rota ~1:20, and opportunities for research and teaching with UHS and the University of Southampton.

Qualifications

• Essential criteria: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
• GMC registration with licence to practise
• MRCP or equivalent; broad experience in Clinical Oncology
• Experience in radiotherapy and SACT management of head and neck and/or thyroid cancers in past 3 years
• Experience in multidisciplinary team working

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of safe, effective, patient-centred care.
• Work within the Clinical Oncology Team at Southampton providing local and regional Oncology service.
• Participate in on-call rota (evenings/nights, weekend rounds ~1:20).
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation and regional cancer centres.
