Job description

We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant Cardiologist on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Cardiology department.

Our client is one of the largest and busiest Trusts in Yorkshire, providing a comprehensive range of acute hospital and specialist healthcare services for approximately 800,000 people. The Trust benefits from a £40 million capital investment, enabling the creation of a Combined Emergency Assessment Unit, where staff from various medical specialties work together in a single assessment area.

The successful candidate will join a department of 5 consultants and 2 Associate Specialists, working in a fully equipped CCU with continuous 12-lead ECG monitoring, facilities for temporary pacing, 15 Cardiology step-down beds, a Catheter Lab, and a Cardiac Physiology Department. Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching & Training junior staff
  • Supporting governance and audit duties
  • Fulfilling clinical duties as agreed with the clinical director

Our client offers a vibrant seaside location with strong transport links to major cities like Manchester, along with excellent schools in both public and private sectors.
