Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust (UHD) invites applications for a Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) at the Dorset Heart Centre. The post supports a high-volume PCI service with a 24/7 primary PCI component and a 1 in 10 weekend on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration.
• Specialist Register for Cardiology and have CCT/CCST or will obtain within six months of interview.
• Postgraduate qualifications in research (MD/PhD) and MRCP.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of 21 substantive Consultant Cardiologists across UHD.
• Contribute to a comprehensive consultant-led secondary/tertiary cardiology and PCI service.
• Support and develop research activity and participate in on-call rota (primary PCI).
• Spend 10 Programmed Activities per week with fixed PCI sessions and flexible lists as needed.
