Job summary

Northampton General Hospital is seeking a Cardiology Consultant to join our dedicated team. You will deliver expert cardiology consultations, contribute to MDT discussions, and maintain up-to-date knowledge through CPD. The role offers opportunities for clinical governance, research involvement, and mentorship of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
• Completion of higher specialist training in Cardiology.
• CCST or CESR in Cardiology.
• Experience in managing a wide range of cardiology conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert cardiology consultations and treatments, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development and maintain up-to-date knowledge in cardiology.
• Contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior medical staff and trainees.
• Conduct and participate in research activities to advance cardiology practice.
