Job summary

Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist (0.6 wte) in the CAMHS Eating Disorders service for Sandwell/Wolverhampton and Dudley/Walsall regions. The role is permanent and based at CAMHS outpatient settings.

The post covers community assessment, treatment and psychiatric care for under-18 eating disorders with on-call commitments. You will join an MDT with psychologists, nurses and allied staff in a supportive Trust.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with eligibility for Specialist Register in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• MBChB/MBBS or equivalent with 3 years higher professional training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Experience in CA Psychiatry and management of eating disorders in under-18s.

Responsibilities

• Provide and develop specialist eating disorder services for under 18s.
• Assess and treat out-patients with eating disorders and comorbid mental illness in line with NICE and Trust policies.
• Lead the multidisciplinary team and provide clinical leadership within CAMHS.
• Collaborate with education, social care, primary care and voluntary agencies to support care.
