Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for the All Age Eating Disorder Service based at Orchards Health Centre, Barking. The post involves 8 Programmed Activities with a 6:2 Direct Clinical Care to Supporting Professional Activities ratio, providing senior medical input and leadership within a multidisciplinary team.

You will work across Barking, Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest with opportunities for teaching, supervision and service

Qualifications

• Senior medical leadership in CAMHS Eating Disorders.
• Experience in assessment, formulation, diagnosis and treatment planning in a multidisciplinary team.
• Liaison with external CAMHS, paediatric services and acute hospitals.
• On-call responsibilities with 1:12 rota and 3% salary supplement.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior medical input and clinical leadership to the Eating Disorder Service.
• Direct input on clinical cases and supervise junior staff.
• Collaborate with the MDT to deliver high-quality care for children and young people with eating disorders.
• Engage in teaching and curriculum activities within QMUL/QMUL-affiliated placements.
