Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for the All Age Eating Disorder Service at Orchards Health Centre, Barking. The post entails 7 Programmed Activities with a 1:12 on-call rota and a 3% Category A salary supplement, to support out-of-hours and weekend service delivery for CAMHS.

The role requires GMC registration, MRCPsych, and eligibility for the Specialist Register within 6 months, with strong leadership and governance experience in NHS

Qualifications

• Inclusion in, or eligibility for GMC Specialist Register within 6 months of obtaining CCT.
• MRCPsych or equivalent.
• Section 12 Approval or application within 3 months of starting post.
• Approved Clinician status, or application within 3 months of starting post.

Responsibilities

• Organise and prioritise own and others’ workload in day-to-day allocation of work.
• Deputise in the team manager’s absence and delegate to medical staff.
• Adhere to Trust protocols and procedures and maintain organisational knowledge.
• Provide accurate records required by the Trust for audit purposes.
• Ensure effective risk management at team level and maintain the risk register.
