Dovetail and Slate is seeking a Construction Technician for our busy workshops in Cambridgeshire. You will work with teaching staff to ensure practical classes run safely, smoothly and efficiently, handling tools, equipment and materials for demonstrations.

Qualifications

Proven practical skills with construction tools and materials.
Relevant construction trade qualifications required.
Experience in FE or training environment desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare, set up, and dismantle tools, equipment, and materials for practical teaching sessions and demonstrations.
Maintain, service, and repair workshop machinery and equipment to a high standard.
Assist lecturing staff during practical student workshops and assessments.
Oversee and maintain rigorous Health & Safety standards within all training areas.
Manage workshop inventory and ensure resources are ready when needed.
