Job summary

South Staffordshire College in Cannock is seeking a proactive Work Experience Officer to support learners aged 16-18 with meaningful work placements across the Construction curriculum. You will coordinate placements, ensure documentation and compliance, and visit employers for safety assessments.

The role requires strong communication, organisational skills and the ability to build partnerships with external employers.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners aged 16–18 is preferred.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are required.
• Proven ability to build partnerships with employers and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work experience placements and ensure all documentation and compliance.
• Undertake employer visits including health and safety assessments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with construction employers and placement opportunities.
• Act as main point of contact for all work experience enquiries and reviews.
• Maintain accurate records on the College CRM system and guide students throughout placements.
