Job summary

Colchester Institute is seeking a Work Based Learning Manager - Construction Crafts to lead delivery, development and quality of apprenticeships and vocational programmes at Colchester Campus. You will provide inspiring leadership for delivery teams and collaborate with industry partners to meet curriculum and employer needs.

The role requires substantial experience in apprenticeship provision, staff management and strong stakeholder engagement to drive quality improvements across learning,

Substantial knowledge of apprenticeship programmes and innovations.

Responsibilities

Provide effective line management for directly reporting staff and oversee staff welfare and discipline.
Monitor, track and report action plans for apprentices at risk of not completing their apprenticeship.
Stand in for the Head of Area when required.
Assist with monitoring student behaviour and pastoral support.
Assist with managing curriculum resources and materials.
Contribute to promotion, marketing of programmes and recruitment, retention and achievement improvements.
Assist with development and implementation of new programmes based on employer demand.
