Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Construction Tutor (Trainee or Qualified) for a centre-based role. The position offers up to £35,000 depending on skills and experience, including location uplift, with excellent holiday entitlement and pension.

The role is full-time and permanent, teaching and assessing learners in multi-skilled construction, and supporting Functional Skills in English and Maths. Centre-based work with driving assumed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Level 2 qualification within a Construction trade.
• Must have occupational experience in multi-skilled construction.
• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above / Functional Skills equivalents.
• Organisational skills and time management are essential.
• Confident and professional with the ability to motivate learners.
• Driver and own transport is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working towards vocational qualifications within multi-skilled construction.
• Support learners with Functional Skills English and Maths to Level 2.
• Adapt delivery to overcome barriers to learning and meet learner needs.
• Ensure sessions are engaging and develop learners' skills and behaviours.
• Monitor attendance and progress through regular assessments and reviews.
• Provide guidance to learners on progression and decisions.
