Job summary

PeoplePlus are seeking a passionate Vocational Construction Tutor to deliver high-quality construction training on a full-time, permanent basis. Based on-site at HMP Onley, you will teach small groups of prison-based learners, developing their skills and confidence to progress in the construction industry.

You will adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learner needs, draw on substantial vocational experience, and use a range of training methods to engage learners.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Vocational qualification in construction is essential.
• GCSE/Functional Skills Level 2 in maths and English.
• Substantial vocational experience in construction.
• Teaching or assessing qualification desirable.
• Ability to engage learners with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site construction training sessions at HMP Onley.
• Develop lesson plans to meet diverse learner needs.
• Motivate and mentor learners to reach long-term goals.
• Adapt teaching methods to engage learners.
