Job summary

YTKO is seeking a Construction Tutor to join our Skills Bootcamp team across Devon and Cornwall, with both full-time and part-time positions considered. A salary of £34,000-£36,000 per annum is offered, depending on experience.

The role involves delivering engaging training and helping learners develop practical construction skills and employability. The successful candidate will have a construction qualification, recent industry experience, and the ability to teach adults while promoting health

Qualifications

• Relevant construction qualification and recent industry experience.
• Experience delivering training to adults or apprentices.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
• Ability to travel across delivery area and hold a UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver workshops, masterclasses and practical training sessions across Skills Bootcamps.
• Support learners to develop practical construction and employability skills.
• Deliver practical refresher sessions in decorating, plumbing, carpentry and related trades.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Develop and update course materials and resources to reflect industry best practice.
• Attend networking events to promote Skills Bootcamps and recruit learners.
• Deliver one-to-one mentoring to learners and support their goals.
• Build relationships with employers, local authorities and partners.
• Provide excellent customer service to learners, employers, funders and stakeholders.
