Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee a prestigious 3m new build project in Ellesmere Port. You will manage day-to-day operations, uphold safety standards, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure quality across the programme.

The role requires strong leadership, technical understanding of build methods, and clear communication with the Project Manager and client stakeholders. Immediate start available on a 48-week timetable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering new build projects.
• Valid CSMS/CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, and First Aid at Work certifications.
• Strong technical understanding of construction methods, design details, and building regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Site Operations: Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Health & Safety: Enforce strict health and safety standards, conducting inductions, tool-box talks, and regular site audits.
• Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and supervise trade contractors, labour, and visiting specialists to maintain high-quality workmanship.
• Quality Control: Ensure all construction works comply with current building regulations, architectural drawings, and design specifications.
• Progress Tracking: Liaise closely with the Project Manager and client stakeholders, providing regular updates on programme milestones and resolving any site queries proactively.
