Job Title: Construction Quantity Surveyor

Location: Manchester

Salary: £50,000 - £80,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a variety of projects ranging from £500,000 to over £5 million, with a focus on residential, industrial, or commercial sectors. This role involves managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to inform project decisions.
  • Manage the procurement process, including tendering and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Prepare and present reports on financial performance, including cash flow forecasts and budget variances.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Support dispute resolution and claims management as necessary.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential, industrial, or commercial sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
