Job summary

Executive Construction Homes is seeking a Purchasing Administrator to oversee procurement for homebuilding and land development projects. You will negotiate contracts, select vendors, and manage supplier relationships to keep projects within budget and on schedule.

Collaborate with construction, design, and finance teams to forecast material needs, review bids, and ensure quality and cost control. The role requires strong negotiation, organization, and communication skills to optimize cost

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and two years purchasing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years purchasing experience, preferably in homebuilding or construction.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure favorable terms with vendors.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, vendors, and market trends.
  • Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with relevant software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers for pricing, quality, and delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate performance.
  • Forecast material needs with construction staff.
  • Identify new contractors/vendors and negotiate long-term agreements.
  • Generate work orders with accurate specs, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Analyze bids and proposals and provide recommendations.
  • Resolve supply chain or delivery issues, warranties, and returns.
