The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years’ PQE, strong construction drafting experience, and the ability to manage complex matters with a practical, commercially focused approach.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years’ PQE or equivalent experience.
• Strong front-end construction experience in a recognised practice.
• Experience drafting and negotiating construction and engineering documentation.
• Excellent technical, drafting and communication skills.
• Practical and commercially focused approach.
• Ability to manage complex matters and work collaboratively.
• E&W qualification is preferred, but common-law qualification considered.

Responsibilities

• Advise on procurement and delivery of major construction and engineering projects.
• Draft and negotiate construction contracts, consultant appointments and warranties.
• Advise on standard-form and bespoke contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC).
• Support clients with procurement strategy, contractual structures and risk allocation.
• Work across infrastructure, energy, real estate and transport sectors.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple practice areas and international offices.
• Build strong relationships with developers, investors, contractors, funders and other stakeholders.

A leading international law firm is seeking a talented non-contentious Construction Lawyer to join its highly regarded team in London.

You will:

• Advise on the procurement and delivery of major construction and engineering projects
• Draft and negotiate construction contracts, consultant appointments, warranties and related project documentation
• Advise on standard-form and bespoke contracts, including JCT, NEC and FIDIC
• Support clients with procurement strategy, contractual structures and risk allocation
