Job summary

United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, design and delivery of buildings and facilities supporting fusion energy. You will work across the Estates team and wider organisation to ensure projects meet time, cost and quality targets, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The role is a 2-year fixed-term contract. You will coordinate internal and external design teams, manage budgets and contracts, and apply ASITE and BIM

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or construction discipline required.
• Membership of CIOB or APM is expected.
• Proven experience delivering design and construction projects.
• Experience with public funding environments and relevant regulations.
• Knowledge of BIM Level 2 and CDM regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, design, development and delivery of construction projects.
• Provide input into civil, mechanical and electrical designs.
• Coordinate design and delivery teams for successful outcomes.
• Manage stakeholder requirements and design standards.
• Develop building specs for multipurpose facilities.
• Oversee budgets, contracts, programs and reporting.
• Identify and report project and organisational risks.
• Apply BIM Level 2 to new-build projects.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and UKAEA procedures.
