Job summary

Construction Project Manager role on a £25m high-end residential and heritage project in Somerset. You will lead a small team, shape the programme and quality, and maintain strong client relationships while navigating complex heritage elements.

Reporting to a Project Director, you will ensure delivery to the highest standards, with calm leadership through challenges and a focus on premium finishes and meticulous planning.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering £20m+ projects for a principal contractor.
• Proven ability to develop Site Managers and lead high-performing teams.
• Strong focus on quality, programme, safety and client relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3-4 Site Managers and own the site programme, quality, safety and client relationships from start to finish.
• Report to the Project Director and manage client expectations, risk and change control.
• Ensure delivery on time, within budget and to the highest standards of finish on a heritage/high-end residential project.

This one is about building something you’ll be genuinely proud to put your name to. We’re recruiting for one of the UK’s leading super-prime principal contractors – a business that’s spent over 50 years earning a reputation for delivering some of the country’s finest super-prime residential and heritage construction projects. They don’t win work by being the cheapest. They win it because clients know exactly what they’re going to get. The project is a £25m development on one of the UK’s most prestigious private estates, blending listed buildings, heritage restoration, carefully integrated new-build elements and luxury 5? finishes. It’s the sort of scheme that reminds you why you got into construction in the first place. Reporting to an experienced Project Director, as construction Project Manager you’ll lead a team of 3-4 Site Managers, taking ownership of programme, quality, safety and client relationships from start to finish. There will be the usual challenges… A programme to protect. Clients with exceptionally high standards. The odd curveball that wasn’t on last week’s drawings. But you’ll also have the time, support and backing to deliver the project properly – not just as quickly as possible.

You’ll probably recognise yourself if you:

• Are a Construction Project Manager that has delivered projects around the £20m+ mark for a principal contractor.
• Enjoy developing Site Managers rather than simply managing them.
• Care about quality as much as programme.
• Stay calm when everyone else decides today’s emergency is somehow your emergency.
• Have experience of refurbishment, heritage or high-end construction.
• If you’re a construction Project Manager looking for a project you’ll still be talking about long after Practical Completion, this could be exactly that.

Salary: £80000 – £90000/annum + car allowance + comprehensive pack
