Job description

Minimum Requirements: Experience delivering high-end construction projects within a main contractor environment. Strong understanding of JCT contracts, commercial management and leading project teams.

As a leader in high-end construction, heritage conservation and specialist crafts in London and the South of England, we take pride in working on Britain's finest private residences, luxury hotels and most cherished historic architecture. We believe our people are our greatest asset, as it's their dedication to excellence that has been the foundation for our outstanding reputation.

As a Project Manager, you’ll take responsibility for delivering complex, high-value construction projects from preconstruction through to completion. You’ll lead your team, consultants and subcontractors to ensure programmes, quality standards and commercial targets are achieved. You’ll drive strategy, planning and reporting while managing risk and change. You’ll maintain strong relationships and set the standard for safety, quality and overall project performance onsite.

Just some of the responsibilities we’ll trust you with:
  • You’ll lead and coordinate all project activities from preconstruction through to completion, ensuring delivery against programme, quality standards and project objectives.
  • You’ll develop and manage detailed project programmes, monitoring performance, critical path and progress throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • You’ll oversee the performance of the project team, including Site Managers and operational staff, providing leadership, direction and mentoring.
  • You’ll manage relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the wider supply chain to ensure contractual and operational expectations are met.
  • You’ll take ownership of the commercial and contractual position of the project, working closely with the commercial team to manage risk, change and reporting.
  • You’ll drive high standards of safety, quality and compliance on site, ensuring projects meet company procedures and statutory requirements.
Where you\'ll be based

You’ll be involved in high-end projects ranging from £500k to £25m, supported by teams aligned to the scale and complexity of each build. Our portfolio spans listed buildings, major refurbishments, contemporary new builds, sporting estates, boutique hotels, and substantial private residences.

You’ll be based onsite at one of our prestigious projects, joining a warm and professional team known for their expertise, collaboration, and commitment to excellence.

Some of the rewards of working with us:
  • Grow your skills and your career with access to full training and development programmes designed to help you reach your full potential.
  • Be part of an inclusive workplace where everyone is respected, valued, and encouraged to share ideas and make a real impact.
  • Enjoy a comprehensive rewards package including a competitive salary, company pension, sick pay, life cover, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, and long service recognition.
  • Earn more time off with a holiday allowance that increases with your length of service – plus all bank holidays.
  • Save on everyday essentials with exclusive discounts at leading retailers and supermarkets.
  • Get 24/7 support through our Employee Assistance Programme, offering expert advice, counselling, and practical help whenever you need it.
  • Enjoy a restful holiday break—we close during the Christmas period, giving you the chance to relax over the festive season
  • We prioritise your wellbeing with our healthcare programmes, annual flu vaccines, and for those who will benefit, a personalised menopause plan.
The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
  • You’ll bring strong experience managing construction projects, typically over £15m in value, within a high-end environment.
  • You’ll have a solid understanding of JCT contracts and the commercial management of construction projects.
  • You’ll demonstrate advanced planning and programming capability using recognised construction software such as Power Project.
  • You’ll have a strong grasp of construction methods, detailing and project delivery on medium to large scale projects.
  • You’ll understand safety, health and environmental responsibilities including CDM regulations and site management best practice.
  • You’ll bring strong commercial awareness, with the ability to manage risk, change and project performance effectively.
