Job summary

Meridian Business Support is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee multiple Major Works commercial projects across the UK. You will take ownership of end-to-end delivery, coordinating design, procurement, and construction to deadlines and budgets, with responsibility for planning, budgeting and CDM compliance.

This hybrid role involves site visits to projects valued £1m–£3m, CSCS card holders with AutoCAD knowledge, and experience as JCT Contract Administrator.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering multi-project commercial schemes (not residential).
• Ability to manage design, procurement and budgeting to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end project delivery.

• Ensure projects comply with legislation and CDM regulations.
• Act as JCT Contract Administrator and audit Health & Safety on site.
• Prepare cost estimates and capital expenditure reports.

• Prepare and submit planning applications and building regulations approvals.
• Maintain contract documentation and review drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Update project progress on the management system.

Would you like to use your experience in commercial construction project management to make your mark on an interesting Construction Project Manager role that offers hybrid working, and the chance to work on multi-million pound projects and visit sites across the UK?

Our client, a leading, award winning membership organisation has an exciting Construction Project Manager opportunity where you will be responsible for the management of multiple Major Works commercial projects at various sites across the UK, with projects costing anywhere from £1m to £3m in value. This will encompass all aspects of planning, budgeting, design, construction, supervision and technical advice both internally and with external stakeholders as well. Your role will also see you get the chance to see the fruits of your labour, visiting sites you're working on across the UK to ensure progress and compliance.

As a Construction Project Manager, your role will involve:

• Taking ownership of the end-to-end management of projects
• Managing and coordinating the design, specification and procurement of projects to deadlines and budgets
• Ensuring projects are undertaken in line with legislation and CDM regulations
• Taking the role of JCT Contract Administrator, visiting sites to check progress and auditing Health & Safety
• Producing cost estimates and capital expenditure reports
• Attending meetings with internal stakeholders to develop schemes for approval
• Preparing and submitting planning applications, and obtaining building regulation approval
• Producing and maintaining contract documentation
• Reviewing concept, planning, construction and as-built drawings
• Updating project progress on the system

I am interested in speaking with candidates who have experience working as a Project Manager, Construction Project Manager, or Development Manager, managing multiple commercial (not residential) projects at once, of cost value minimum £1m+, and who has experience of JCT Form of Contract contract administration and a strong knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM regulations, and Health & Safety compliance. Holding a CSCS card and knowledge of AutoCAD is essential too.

Salary for this position is: £54,000 p.a. to £56,650 p.a. (depending on experience).

There is also a Car Allowance of £870 per month on top as well (which adds £10,440 to the annual package) or EV / company car provided
