Office Angels are thrilled to be partnering with our client - a respected leader in the construction industry - in the search for a proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused Project Administrator to join their friendly and dynamic team at their modern Durham office.

In this role, no two days are the same. You'll need to think on your feet, manage shifting priorities, and provide critical support across multiple ongoing projects. If you're someone who enjoys variety, takes a reactive approach to challenges, and keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you!

Position Details:
  • Type: Contract, Permanent, fully office-based
  • Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
  • Working Hours: Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:15 PM; Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Location: Durham (driving is required due to limited public transport access)
  • Start Date: ASAP
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Delivering efficient administrative support to a busy construction team
  • Maintaining well-organised project files and accurate record-keeping
  • Liaising with internal teams, suppliers, hire companies, and management to coordinate confidential project details
  • Professionally handling calls, correspondence, and general office tasks
  • Entering data, managing holiday requests, and updating HR records
  • Supporting budget tracking and expense reporting
  • Managing purchase orders, delivery tracking, and supplier communications
  • Ensuring lifting equipment and plant servicing and maintenance schedules are up to date
  • Supporting directors with project planning, progress tracking, and reporting
  • Assisting with onboarding and safety inductions
  • Maintaining up-to-date CRM systems and construction databases
We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in project or construction administration, hire desk operations, document control, or general construction admin
  • A flexible, team-focused attitude and a willingness to take initiative
  • Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment
