Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd in the North East is seeking a Construction Planner with advanced Primavera P6 expertise for a major infrastructure project. The role requires building and challenging robust programmes, not just maintaining schedules, with NEC3 contract experience and site travel.

You will analyse critical paths, lead lookahead planning, and support change management across multiple teams, with hybrid working and occasional UK site visits.

Qualifications

• Must have proven Construction Planner experience on infrastructure or civils projects.
• Advanced Primavera P6 capability is essential, including detailed programme building.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 contracts, critical path, and delay/change impacts.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed programmes using Primavera P6 with sequencing, logic, dependencies and milestones.
• Analyse critical path, progress, slippage and risks, delivering clear planning solutions.
• Collaborate with construction, engineering and project teams to develop realistic lookaheads and recovery plans.
• Support reporting, forecasting and change management within NEC3 contract environments.
• Occasional travel to project sites, including Birmingham, about twice per month.

Construction Planner - Primavera P6 / NEC3

Are you a Construction Planner with strong Primavera P6 experience looking for a major infrastructure project? This is a hands‑on planning role for someone who can build, develop and challenge robust construction programmes, rather than simply maintain an existing schedule. You'll work closely with engineering and delivery teams, providing clear planning insight across a complex infrastructure environment.

The Role

• Build and maintain detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6, including sequencing, logic, dependencies and milestones
• Analyse critical path, progress, slippage and programme risk, providing clear planning solutions
• Work closely with construction, engineering and project teams to develop realistic programmes, lookaheads and recovery plans
• Support programme reporting, forecasting and change management within an NEC3 contract environment
• Occasional travel to project sites, including Birmingham approximately twice per month

The Person

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner / Project Planner within infrastructure, civils, engineering or major construction projects
• Advanced Primavera P6 experience is essential, with the ability to build detailed programmes
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, programme controls, critical path and delay/change impacts
• NEC3 contract experience essentialFull UK driving licence essential and available to start ASAP
