Job summary

Bowden Jones Recruitment is seeking a confident construction professional to take ownership of operational delivery in a senior role. You will lead several projects and teams, with hands-on site involvement to drive performance across the project portfolio.

The position is permanent, full-time, with a salary in the £75,000–£85,000 range, plus a performance bonus, company car and private medical insurance. 28 days’ annual leave included.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• Strong background working for a main contractor.
• Experience overseeing multiple live construction projects.
• Proven leadership and team-management ability.
• Strong programme awareness and the ability to identify operational risks early.
• Hands‑on management style with regular site involvement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• A practical and solutions‑focused approach to project delivery.

About you

You will be a confident and commercially aware construction professional with the ability to lead several projects and teams simultaneously.

The successful candidate will have:

Desirable

• SMSTS, CSCS or similar construction qualifications.
• Experience delivering projects within live or occupied environments.
